Dr. Sketchy UPDATE

Cherry Bomb

Here are drawings made last Friday at Dr. Sketchy's at Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia. This is a life drawing session with a little twist. Instead of "artist's models" in classical poses, our models were (Cherry Bomb and Ginger Leigh) neo-Burlesque entertainers/dancers from the Peek a Boo Revue. A little more rowdy, a little more fun than the usual.

OK - I do not even remember leaving that comment, and how could I do so 5 days before your post, hmmm? Magick!!!
Your gestures (like how I bring my basic drawing lingo into play?) are poignant and moving. And, these sketches are just slathered with human emotion. Are you planning a show in the future?

These are magnificent. I always wished I had the ability to draw because I get so many images in my mind that I wish I could be able to transfer to paper. The last sketch I've seen on Fe's site- now I know where it came from! You're very talented.

Wow-- these are some of the best life drawings I've seen in my LIFE! I love your leather models, too, how fun!

I am really enjoying your blog. I love your style and I would kill to get to sketch the burlesque models. What fun!
