This afternoon, I looked up to find an owl sitting in the drizzle in our backyard. I have seen a variety of wildlife in the backyard, (deer, foxes, rabbits, etc), but this is our first owl. This photo is a bit blurry, but I did not want to get close and scare it off.

Oh my! That is FANTASTIC! (Yes, I am easily excieted). I think that is exciting. Surely there is something meaningful here. For a few years (not recently) I heard an owl nearby, but never say him/her. Maybe he moved down your way.
I like to think he/she was there to impart some wisdom. I am going to look up some of the symbolism of owls.
